Parent Revolution hits the LA Times
The LA Times this morning is out with a great article highlighting the Parent Revolution and the change we're going to bring to public education:
The goal is to unite a city of overworked and isolated parents with a brash promise: If more than half of the parents at a school sign up, (The Los Angeles Parents Union) will guarantee an excellent campus within three years. They call it the Parent Revolution.
Parents (at the Tujunga meeting) couldn't sign (Parents Union Organizer) Najera's petition fast enough -- and the Parents Union had not even targeted Tujunga. Mark Twain Middle School in Venice and Garfield High in East L.A. will be the first to officially take part.
Click here to read the entire story, and then make sure you share it with your friends and other parents! We want every parent to now that now they have the power, they can take back their schools, and guarantee their children a great education. If you know parents who want to get involved, but are skeptical that they can make a difference, this article is a great way to show that the Parent Revolution is very real, as is our promise. Sign our petition, get 51% of parents at your school to do the same, and we WILL have a great public school, in your neighborhood for your child, within three years.
